After manufacturing the Google Nexus 4, along with other high end Android based handsets, LG had become once more a reliable company for those interested in buying a new phablet or smartphone; also now we can say that Samsung has a new competitor on the market, as until now only Sony and maybe HTC managed to keep up (not in a relevant way though) with the South Korean company.
Anyway, what interest us today is that according to the Japanese carrier NTT Docomo (which just made available their annual summer lineup), LG will release a new Android 4.2 and LTE based smartphone in Japan during next month. I’m talking about the strangely and amusing named Optimus it, which is a high end device that comes with impressive specs and features for its future users.
LG Optimus it has the model number of L-05E and the phone will be powered by a quad core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, along with other “goodies” like: a 4.5 inch 1280×720 IPS display, a 13 MP camera on the back, LTE support, a 2100mAh battery and with the latest version of the Android system, Jelly Bean 4.2 OS.
Furthermore, NTT Docomo announced that the Optimus it release date will be somewhere during June, actually late June, so if you want to buy the device, then you will have to be patience for a month or even more. The pricing offers are still nowhere to find, but I guess that further news about the same will be made available during the following days.
Unfortunately, according to the latest info, the Optimus it will be launched only in Japan, so if you were planning in getting the same, there is bad news for you. Anyway, who knows maybe the US and European market will receive a similar handset too, as LG is surely preparing something new form us.
