The Japan carrier NTT Docomo is having big plans for its users as interesting and powerful handsets are being announced for this year. We have recently talked about the Panasonic Eluga Power P-07D and now it’s time to reveal another smartphone, this time manufactured by LG. The Optimus Vu L-06D will soon be release through NTT Docomo and it’s coming to impress the audience with some appealing specs and features. Furthermore we are dealing with a phablet, so if you want to check devices different than the Galaxy Note, this will be the perfect opportunity for you.
The LG Optimus Vu L-06D will feature a large 5 inch IPS LCD touchscreen, which of course will satisfy the “needs” of a tablet. Then, the display is coming with Corning Gorilla Glass protection along with water and dust protection, so you can safely use your handset in any conditions. Furthermore, the display is optimized to provide 4 : 3 aspect ratio offering an improved video experience for its future users. Beside these, the looks are decent, though not impressive, a common aspect when it comes to LG and its products. At least this will be a high end one, the performances being more than we expected.
Specs wise, the LG Optimus Vu L-06D phablet will offer a dual core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ8060 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage memory, an 8 MP camera on the back along with a 1,3 MP front facing one and a 2,000 mAh battery. The device will also feature the usual Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth v3.0 + HS, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, FeliCa, infrared, FOMA and the Android platform above all. Ice Cream Sandwich will be pre-installed but we are expecting the Jelly Bean flavor for the future.
As mentioned, the handset will be released through NTT Docomo and it’s already available for pre-orders since July 27th this year. The NTT Docomo version of the LG Optimus Vu L-06D will not come with a microSD port for improving the storage capacity, the 32 GB being all you get.
