Some of the new features added by Android 4.4 KitKat for the HTC One Google Play edition are as following: full-screen immersive mode, Ok Google command for enabling Google Now, new open architecture for NFC payments that supports almost any mobile carrier, KitKat now allows applications to control the payment info and save it to cloud or directly on your phone, better and faster multi-tasking, smarter caller IDs that are capable of grabbing data to match an incoming call number that isn’t saved in your contacts.¬†Hangouts app now supports SMS and MMS. There are plenty of other new small things that were added to improve the overall performance of the phone’s UI.

If you already got the update and installed in on your HTC One Google Play edition, then tell us in comments how is your device working with the latest KitKat update.
