Official AOKP JB Milestone 1 ROM Has Been Launched Today

Since everybody went crazy about today’s announcement of Google’s brand new Nexus device, the news about the official launch of the 1st milestone of AOKP Jelly Bean almost passed unnoticed.

The Android Open Kang Project team is currently working hard on their Jelly Bean based custom ROM as it has reached the Milestone 1 version today. The new update brings an ‘adjustable navbar width’ for tablet devices, the ‘Vibrate on touch’ action for the Slide unlock, Toggles with hiding support by pressing long the Settings buttons.

The Clock and Calendar functions listed in the Notifications Slider are now clickable offering you faster and easier access. It is based on Android 4.1.2 and since Google announced officially the Android 4.2 release, we can only hope that AOKP will also feature it by the end of November.

Also, the developers of AOKP are saying that numerous other features will be added with future releases and we can only dream about the endless possibilities that the Android 4.2 brings.

AOKP JB Milestone 1 is the most stable release based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it seems like all bugs that were present in previous versions have been removed and this can only mean good news, as some devices that were running previous AOKP JB builds had some problems that made users complain over at the RootzWiki forums.
