Xperia ZL on Rogers will be released in April 2013 but, its seems that the official pricing of the device has been leaked via an internal document. We can clearly see that the pricing for the off-contract device and for the model that will come with a 3-year contract.
Sony put a 1.5 GHz 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU in it, a full 1080p HD display that benefits from the Mobile Bravia Engine 2 tech, 2GB RAM, 4G LTE, 13 MP camera and the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The flagship device of Sony remains the Xperia Z which is waterproof, dust proof and shock resistant and it packs a better hardware than the Xperia ZL. However, the Xperia ZL model is a great alternative for those of you who want a great phone which a little bit cheaper than the Xperia Z.
Some employee of Rogers leaked an internal document which contains info about the official price of Xperia ZL with both on and off contract details. So, without the contract you will be able to buy the Xperia ZL phone from the carrier by paying $624.99, while the 3-year contract Rogers contract for the device will cost you only $124.99. The news appeared first at MobileSyrup.
Also, the documents shows that the device will be sold through Rogers but Sony recommends the carrier not to activate any device until April 2nd. We can’t be 100% sure that these leaked prices will be the final one, since Sony is expected to sell the Xperia ZL device at a price of at least $650. The only thing that’s left to do is to wait until Rogers lists the device on their website and that’s when we can draw conclusions about the phone.
Do you find the Rogers 3-year contract price for the Xperia ZL to be attractive enough that you will buy the phone from them or, will you choose to wait until you find a better offer elsewhere ?
