Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 Receive Paranoid Android 3 Builds

Paranoid Android 3

Good news for the owners of the Nexus handsets with an unlocked bootloader. If you want a custom ROM for your handset, there is another option besides the already existing CM and AOKP. Starting from now, the users who have a Nexus 4, 7, 10, and Galaxy Nexus have the possibility to install the Paranoid 3.0 (PA3).

One of the major features of Paranoid Android 3.0 is named Hybrid Engine, which was mention at the over at XDA-Developers bu the devs. A lot of users are confused and think that the features only allows them to use a phone in “tablet mode”. Actually, there is a lot more than that, as it offers the opportunity to modify the layout and dpi of any specific application individually. Plus, you are allowed to change System UI colors for every app.

Of course, there are other features (besides the mentioned ones) that come along with the PA3 ROM, which will provide the Nexus users an increased level of control when it comes to the phone’s looks. Other mods feature the PIE control system (which is very useful as you won’t need the navigation bar anymore) and, for the Nexus 4, a color optimization system.

For more information about the Paranoid Android 3.0 ROM, visit the XDA-Developers website, but let me tell you that it’s really worth a try, if you got tired of the standard operating system of your Nexus terminal.

I’ve had difficulty changing the colors of the nav and notification bars with specific apps in the paranoid rom on my nexus 10. Anyone else have this issue? Also, what do you mean by PIE control system?

the PIE control system lets you customize pretty much everything in terms of color and animation. you can even create your own icons.
