Purported Official Renders of the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro Leak Out

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro smartphones have leaked online yet again. Ahead of their expected official unveiling, two alleged official renders of the smartphones have been published on Chinese microblogging site Weibo.

The first render shows off the two handsets from the side, alongside the Galaxy C9 Pro, which is already on sale. The second render allegedly shows off the Galaxy C7 Pro in the White and Gold color option. As you can tell from the image, it appears the Galaxy C7 Pro is going to be virtually identical to the existing Galaxy C9 Pro from the front, with the only key difference being the shape of the sensor array on the top bezel.

In terms of specs, we expect the Galaxy C5 Pro to feature a 5.2” or 5.5” sized 1080p resolution display and run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core SoC. While the storage hasn’t been confirmed yet, the smartphone will include a generous 4GB of RAM. In the camera department, the handset will be equipped with a 16MP camera both on the front as well as the rear. Keeping the lights on will be a 3000mAh capacity battery, which is pretty decent given the 1080p resolution and the frugal Snapdragon 626 SoC under the hood.

The Galaxy C7 Pro on the other hand features a 5.7” display with the same 1080p Full HD resolution. It too is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 626 octa-core SoC, along with 4GB of RAM. Most other key specifications are also identical to the Galaxy C5 Pro, except for the battery capacity. The bigger handset is going to include a larger 3300mAh capacity battery, Both the smartphones will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box when they go on sale, although an update to Android 7.0 Nougat is likely to be rolled out later on.

Similar to the other Galaxy C-series handsets, the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro are expected to be available only in China initially. In terms of pricing, the Galaxy C5 Pro is expected to be priced at 2399 Yuan in China ($346), while the Galaxy C7 Pro is rumored to retail for 2799 Yuan ($404).
