There’s no surprise that Motorola is planning to continue the legacy of the Droid family and even though the technical publications are focused on the debut of the Moto X, the infamous leaker @evleaks took some time to guest post for The Unlocker and reveal the red variant of the Motorola Droid Ultra.
It’s not the first time we hear about the new Droid series, which will have three members: Motorola Droid Ultra, Motorola Droid Maxx Ultra, and Motorola Droid Mini, the later one replacing last year’s Motorola Droid RAZR M and Droid RAZR i.
Evleaks got his hands on a picture of the Red Motorola Droid Ultra, which will be the flagship smartphone of the line-up that will debut at Verizon soon. The leaked photo revealed that the smartphone will also be available with a red kevlar back.
Since the Droid Ultra is the flagship smartphone of the family, everybody expects it to sport a full HD display, Snapdragon 600 chipset with quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 CPU and Areno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage.
Rumor has it that the Droid Ultra will come with a 10 or 14 megapixel primary camera, while the front-facing camera will reportedly have a 2 megapixel sensor. The battery is a 2,500 mAh according to sources, which should provide decent battery life.
Verizon will host a special press event on July 23rd in New York and we are expecting to see the new Droid terminals there.
