i don’t exactly remember how i did it, but it definitely is possible to root the KFHD 7″ with 7.2.3! i did it but i had to search a lot for a working way

I can not get past step 7,im running 7.2.3 kindle fire hd

everytime i get to step 7
adb shell
echo ‘ro.kernel.quemu=1? > /data/local.prop
the command prompt just returns with
echo ‘ro.kernel.quemu=1? > /data/local.prop
please assist
