  1. From here you need to download the root package.
  2. Save the file on your computer, preferable on desktop.
  3. Then, download Odin, unzip it and install the program.
  4. Unzip the root file on the same folder as Odin.
  5. Use Samsung KIES for flashing the Galaxy S3 drivers, in case you don’t have the drivers already installed on your computer.
  6. Run Odin on your PC.
  7. Turn off your phone as download mode must be entered.
  8. For download mode press and hold Volume Down, home and Power buttons at the same time.
  9. Up next, connect your Android smartphone with your computer.
  10. Now Odin will try to recognize your phone; if everything works as expected on Odin the “added” message will be displayed. Also the ID:COM will turn yellow or blue.

  12. From Odin you need to select the “PA” option.

    Did the whole process until reaching the “PASS” message by Odin. But busybox, diskdigger and RootChecker all complain that root access is not installed properly.
    Version pre-installed was exactly the same required prior to doing the procedure.
    Phone works fine, but no root access.

    I suspect something is wrong with the image. Please help. I need to recover accidentally deleted files urgently.
