Back in December, the Korea-based phone maker introduced two new color options for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Rose Gold and Merlot Red. Soon after the announcement was made it was reported that the two now colors will first debut on in China, followed by other markets.
But @evleaks has more details about the Rose Gold Galaxy Note 3 variant. According to one of his recent tweets the aforementioned Galaxy Note 3 model will soon become available for purchase at Verizon. As you probably know, the Rose Gold Note 3 comes with either black or white rear cover, but @evleaks doesn’t mention which of the two Rose Gold models will be coming to Verizon.
As you can see in the picture below, there’s no much difference between the standard white and black Galaxy Note 3 and the Rose Gold Note 3 variants. They only noticeable difference is the golden accents. And when I say accents I refer to the bezel around the smartphone’s body and the power and volume buttons. In my opinion the Merlot Red Note 3 would have been a more interesting addition to Verizon’s line-up, as it would have attracted the customers who want something different.
Aside from the golden accents, the Rose Gold Galaxy Note 3 is identical to the standard model. Its technical specifications include a Snapdragon 800 chipset based on a quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM, 32/64 GB of microSD-expandable storage, 13 MP primary camera with 4K video recording support, 2 MP secondary camera, 3,200 mAh battery, and a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display.
The new report fails to mention when the Rose Gold Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will become available for purchase at Verizon, or whether it will have the same price tag as the standard model. Anyway, if the rumor proves true, don’t be surprised to see it in Big Red’s online and physical stores by the end of Q1 2014. Any of you guys planning to buy a Rose Gold Note 3 or you like the standard Black and White models better?
