Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore has been set as the location for Samsung to launch the sequel device to Galaxy S4 Zoom, and it will most probably be named the Samsung Galaxy K. The launch will take place on April 29th.
Samsung has started to give out invites today telling everybody that a big event will be held in Singapore on the 29th this month. Up until this announcement everyone expected Samsung to launch the Galaxy S5 Zoom device, but it seems like they are going in a totally different direction and the next camera-smartphone hybrid Samsung device will be named Galaxy K.
The previous similar device to Galaxy K was the Galaxy S4 Zoom. The name hasn’t been confirmed but the ‘Kapture the moment’ tag line gives it all away. We will have to wait and see for the official presentation to arrive and confirm the new name.
The event will take place in Singapore at the Red Dot Design Museum and it will start at 11 AM.
The future Samsung Galaxy K will most probably look very different when compared to the Galaxy S5 and it should come packed with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED 720p display, a hexa-core Samsung Exynos 5 SoC featuring two 1.5 GHz Cortex A15 cores and four 1.3 Ghz Cortex A7 cores, it also packs the Mali T-624 GPU, 2 GB RAM and a 20 MP camera featuring 10x Optical Zoom with Xenon flash. Also, the Galaxy K should feature a 2 MP front facing camera, too.
Android 4.4.2 KitKat should be the default OS, but it will most probably be released with a slightly different TouchWiz interface than the one used on the Samsung Galaxy S5 device. We can’t wait for April 29 to arrive and see what Samsung has in store for us and what new camera-based S features we will be able to test and use in order to shoot beautiful photos and videos.
There are not other details regarding the release of this new Galaxy K device, but the following weeks should bring tons of rumors and info on what to expect out of this new gadget.
