Samsung has officially launched the new Android 4.4 KitKat build for all Galaxy Note 10.1 Wi-Fi models. Check your device’s notification panel for alerts starting today.
The official KitKat update for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 models is rolled out in phases, don’t worry if the files won’t be pushed to your tablet today. The update is only available for the Wi-Fi model of Galaxy Note 10.1, there is no official word on the possible update availability for the 3G or 4G models.
With this Android 4.4.2 KitKat update you’re going to get Samsung’s Magazine UX, navigation and status bar changes, full-screen immersive KitKat interface for applications, support for new functions such as S camera features, cloud printing support, faster interface, improved boot speed,and more.
If the update notification hasn’t been sent to your device yet, then you can check yourself for new files by going to Settings, then General, open About Phone and go to Software Updates. Hit the ‘Check for Updates’ button in order to search for any new KitKat upgrades that might be available for your Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.
The confirmation of the release of this new update has been made by SamMobile. It seems like the first country to get the update is Colombia, but all the other worldwide regions should get the new files soon enough.
