After we’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy S4 being officially unveiled, the media’s attention is turning towards Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date. There are a lot of rumors surrounding the Note 3 release date, but they should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Samsung refused to comment on them.
Well, I don’t have a birdie telling us when the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date will be. It’s just an educated guess based on previous Samsung product launches and the South Korean company’s strategies against its market rivals.
What did the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch told us about the upcoming Galaxy Note 3? Well, almost nothing except for giving us some hints about how will it look like and what features will pack out of the box. We’ll definitely see the Sound & Shot, Eraser, Cinema Photo, and Drama Shot features on the Galaxy Note 3’s camera app, but the new Samsung phablet will also sport the company’s 360 degree panorama mode, dubbed S Orb.
The unannounced Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be similar in terms of design with the freshly launched Galaxy S4, continuing the design language introduced last year with the Galaxy S3 and Note 2. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will probably be slightly bigger than the current Sammy phablet, but it most likely be thinner and lighter.
There are a lot of speculations surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 technical specifications. The new device will boast Samsung’s proprietary Exynos 5 Octa chipset based on four Cortex A15 cores for more processing power and four Cortex A7 cores for basic tasks. We’ll also see 2 GB of RAM fitted inside the Galaxy Note 3 along with three internal storage options 16, 32, and 64 GB.
What about the display of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3? I’m glad you’ve asked. Judged by the size of the last two Galaxy Note generation and given that Samsung will increase the display diagonal, the Galaxy Note 3 will most likely boast a 5.8-inch display. As you’ve probably noticed the high-end smartphones of 2013 come with full HD resolution displays, therefore we will be seeing a 5.8-inch full HD Super AMOLED screen fitted on the Galaxy Note 3.
Now let’s talk Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date. There’s no doubt that Apple is the biggest Samsung rival, therefore the South Korean phone maker will focus their actions on stealing Cupertino-based giant’s market share. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will hit the market soon, and it will be the device to bite a big chunk of iPhone 5’s market share. Apple will launch the iPhone 5S later this summer so Samsung must fight back. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be its answer to the iPhone 5S, hitting the market a couple of months after the iOS-powered smartphone.
The first Galaxy Note debuted at IFA Berlin, while the second gen Samsung phablet was announced a week ahead of the Berlin-based event. We are expecting a similar approach this year, too. IFA Berlin 2013 will open its gates for the public on September 6th, and the Asians will probably host a Samsung Unpacked event in the week prior to it. September 6th lands on a Friday, therefore the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date might be scheduled in the September 1-5 time frame.
