The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the favorite gadget of the rumor mill lately, as we’ve seen it in leaking in an alleged promotional flyer, then in some hands-on photos.
Even the head of Samsung Mobile Division, JK Shin publicly talked about the Galaxy Note 8, confirming that it will be officially announced at Mobile World Congress 2013 event in Barcelona. Today, we get to see the yet-unannounced 8-inch tablet in a new series of photos, this time coming from a French publication.
As you can see in the gallery below, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with the same S-Pen stylus with Wacom technology like its bigger and smaller brothers (Note 10.1 and Note 2) and a TouchWiz user interface that brings support for AirView, the highly-appreciated feature that was introduced on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
The design of the new Note is a reminiscent of a smaller Nexus 10, or of a bigger Galaxy Note 2. I can’t help but notice that Galaxy Note 2 comes with phone function and with a physical Home button, plus a design that is optimized for portrait mode.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 technical specifications list includes an 7-inch Super Clear LCD display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, Android 4.2 and 2 GB of RAM.
There are 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a front-facing camera with 1.3 megapixel sensor.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 makes use of a 4,600 mAh battery, is only 7.95 mm thick and weighs in 330 grams. I’m eager to see which will be the price of this model. Anyway, we’ll find out more at MWC 2013 in February.
