While smartphones have gotten bigger and bigger and phablets have become really popular. Either myself I am using the Galaxy Note, which is a pretty huge smartphone and sometimes hard to use. But now they are releasing something even bigger, though it doesn’t have calling capabilities.
The Galaxy Player 5.8 features, as its name suggests, a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED qHD display. The device looks mostly like the Galaxy S3, though it’s bulkier and has a frontal speaker, which should reproduce high quality sound at higher volumes.
It also comes with a 1Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 3MP rear camera and a VGA frontal one, a 2,500 mAh batter and Android 4.0 ICS. It comes with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Player 5.8 weights 223 grams, being probably the bulkiest portable media player around.
A smartphone that size would really be huge, though a PMP is understandable, because it’s been designed for movies too, which must look wonderful on that display.
Would you buy a PMP this size and weight ? And if so, will you try to stuck it into your pocket or get a backpack for it ?
