More and more rumors are emerging and people seem to think that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OTA Update won’t be released for the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3, which means that the next upgrade will be directly to Android 4.3. All these news might eventually turn to be true, as Samsung has already pushed the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to November and, we might see the release of a new OS until then.
Google is still working on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date and this shouldn’t take long before it will be available for devices worldwide. However, even if Google releases the new official Jelly Bean 4.3 update next week, Samsung will still take their time before upgrading the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 devices. More info should be available by the end of this month.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update should pack Bluetooth LE, WiFi Always Scanning support, new notifications bar, tweaked camera software, enhanced Google Now capabilities, more toggles, UI color changes, better battery life management and multiple others. Also, when the update will hit the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 phones, we might also see the brand new 360 degrees panorama function added to the camera software. These news apply only for the international versions of these devices, while the US ones are expected to get the next Android OS update by the end of 2013.
There are already some Android 4.2.2 ROMs leaked for the Samsung Galaxy S3, which makes us wonder why would there be such stock Jelly Bean 4.2.2 ROMs leaked and not seeing the final versions available for the S3 phone. It is possible for the Galaxy Note 2 not to receive the update and getting upgraded directly to Android 4.3 build when that will be launched.
