Fortunately for the Samsung Galaxy S3 users, an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has been leaked from the Korean maker and you can give it a try on your device. It’s been rumored already that they are going to release it in September and it seems like they are almost ready to do it.
The Galaxy S3 i9300 Jelly Bean update works really well, though it’s still not 100% stable, so we don’t recommend you to try it if you don’t want any hassles. The DLH4 update comes right after DLG4 and it does have some improvements, bug fixes, being smoother.
This firmware seems to be dated August 14, so it’s pretty recent, which can only mean the official update is close. Hopefully carriers will move fast too and release it to their users, them being the ones who usually delay updates.
Unfortunately updating to this custom ROM requires you to wipe all your data ( factory reset ), so we recommend you to perform a backup in case you want to return to your older ICS. If you are using the first leak ( DLG4 or XXDLG4 ), then you won’t be require to wipe the data again.
For those who want to give it a try, here’s a guide for you. It can help you do it fast and easy, without any problems.
