Google has just released the Nexus 7 tablet, along with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the first devices to get it will be Galaxy Nexus and Google Nexus S. Though Samsung’s Galaxy S3 is the most popular smartphone nowadays and everyone is waiting for a Jelly Bean update.
Unfortunately Android’s biggest issue has been with updates until now and it seems like it will take some time until Galaxy S3 users will be able to taste Google’s new Jelly Bean. According to a report, Samsung confirmed the release date for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to be in Q4, this year.
Until now Samsung didn’t make any official statement about a possible update, though we are pretty sure it’s coming, considering it’s their best-seller and want to keep their customers happy.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean comes with some very nice features, like an improved interface, Google Now voice assistant and more.
Fortunately for all Galaxy S3 users, there are already some Jelly Bean ports available for it, though it’s not very stable at the moment. But considering the developers’ interest in the device, we will probably get a stable Jelly Bean custom ROM for the Galaxy S3 very soon.
We will keep you updated once we find out more information about a Galaxy S3 official Jelly Bean release date and any stable custom ROMs until Samsung decides to make us happy.
