The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S3 will not be released for the non-LTE variants of the device (apparently because it only packs 1 GB of RAM), but the South Korean-phone maker has introduced a 3G-friendly model that runs KitKat out of the box.
The new smartphone is called Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo, has model number GT-I9301I, and it has been listed on Samsung Germany’s website. Just like other “Neo” smartphones form Samsung, the Galaxy S3 Neo looks exactly like the flagship launched in 2012.
As you may know, Samsung has also released a Galaxy S3 Neo in India, but the European Galaxy S3 Neo is slightly different from the Indian variant. First of all it doesn’t arrive with support for dual SIM and instead of the 1.2 GHz processor of the Indian model, the I9301I is powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz CPU. The Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo specs also include 1 GB of RAM and a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution.
For the time being, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo is not available for purchase, but we are pretty sure that the new handset will hit the stores in the following days. It seems that it will be available in two body colors: blue and white.
