Samsung Galaxy S3 Specs

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been announced on May 3rd in the UK and it will become available by the end of May, 2012 in Europe. The phone features an incredible hardware and comes with great new software improvements over the other smartphones. It looks more like the Galaxy Nexus than the Galaxy S2 and it comes in two colors: pebble blue and marble white.

It’s quad-core 1.4Ghz Exynos processor makes it lightning fast and the display looks extremely well, probably being the best smartphone display at the moment of its release. The US version comes with a dual-core Qualcomm dual-core CPU instead of the Exynos one, because the latter is not compatible with the 4G LTE technology.

The new Galaxy S3 comes with S Voice, a voice control application that does have some awesome features and seems to work just great, though it’s been just released, so more improvements are on the way. The S Voice can be used either to ask questions about virtually everything or control your phone state. It takes commands like snooze, raise volume, send test and it’s also able to organize schedules or even open apps. S Voice also allows you to wake the Galaxy S3 by saying “Hi Galaxy” and it also features eye-tracking for keeping the display on while looking at it.

Its 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display has a 1,280×720 resolution, which means 720p, it’s probably the best smartphone display, like I said earlier. It’s the same technology used in the Samsung Galaxy Note, though the Galaxy S3 has a higher PPI.

The Galaxy S3 comes with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, along with the Touchwiz UI. It features an 8MP back camera, able to record 1080p video at 30fps, and a 1.9MP frontal camera that can record 720p video at 30fps. The back camera comes with no shutter lag, which means it can take photos much faster.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S3 specs a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Glonass, and NFC.

The 2,100 mAh battery will be able to support the quad-core CPU, being able to offer it a really long lifetime if not use intensively.

The new Galaxy S3 will come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions.

There are not many Samsung Galaxy S3 specs changed over the Galaxy S2. The changes are: increased battery capacity, no lag camera, quad-core CPU, bigger display with better screen resolution, better frontal camera, NFC support.
