The Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 has been resumed by the Korean company. The new software update will roll out for both the users who are still on Android 4.2.2 and for those who got to update their Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3 before the update was put on hold.
Earlier this week we informed you that AT&T has resumed the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 as well, but now the folks at Sammobile have received confirmation from various European countries including Germany, France, and UK, that the new software update is rolling out for the international variant of the handset.
You should grab your Samsung Galaxy S4 right now and check whether the software update is available in your notifications area. If it isn’t you can check for it manually under Settings > More > About Phone > System Update > Check for Updates.
If some of you already updated their Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3 in the first roll out stage, you should know that the new software will be available for you, as well, as it is also a stability update meant to fix the issues that caused the original update to be rolled back.
The update is being rolled out both OTA and via KIES, but some users reported they were able only to download it using KIES. If the OTA method didn’t work for you, it’s worth grabbing the USB cable and connect your Galaxy S4 to the PC via KIES. As usual, the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 is being rolled out in phases, therefore if it didn’t hit your smartphone already, it means you would have to wait a few more days.
The new Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 update will change your smartphone’s build number to I9505XXUEMKE, while the build date is labeled November 27, making it the most recent software update available for the Samsung Galaxy S4.
As a refresher, the Samsung Galaxy S4 brings a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, Snapragon 600 SoC with four Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP camera mounted on the back, 16/32/64 GB of micro-SD expandable storage, and all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone, including WiFi in all standards, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, IR blaster, and microUSB 2.0.
