Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 Test Firmware Now Available for Download

A Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 test firmware has been leaked for the international variant of the smartphone, codenamed I9505. As you probably know, is the Samsung Galaxy S4 model powered by a Snapdragon 600 processor. Therefore, if you happen to own one of those, you should be glad to hear that the Android 4.4.2 update for Galaxy S4 is now available for download.
As usual, the folks at Sammobile were the first to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 test firmware and, according to them it was obtained from an insider. The same publication also notes that the Android 4.4.2 build for Samsung Galaxy S4 is pretty stable and that it has just a few minor hiccups here and there.
Since the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 is not official yet, there’s no official changelog either, but as you can see in the screenshot below, the TouchWiz UI now comes with KitKat-style white icons which replaced Samsung’s green ones. The toggles in the notification area are still green, though. Another obvious change is the added camera icon in the lower right corner of the lockscreen.
Sammobile also writes that after the Android 4.4.2 KitKat is installed on a Galaxy S4 I9505 the overall performance of the system is improved, which is also confirmed in benchmarks.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 KitKat test build is labeled I9505XXUFNA1 and it can be download from here. All you have to do next is to plug your smartphone to the PC and flash the ZIP file on your Samsung Galaxy S4 though Odin, but keep in mind that you are doing it at your own risk.
