Samsung Galaxy S4 Concept Goes Live with Edge-to-edge Display and Laser Keyboard
Before Samsung Galaxy S3 was officially launched in May 2012, a lot of concept renderings and mockups have hit the web, some of them looking magnificent, and maybe that’s why some of the customers didn’t appreciate its design when it was unveiled.
Now, the expectations for Samsung Galaxy S4 are even bigger, and today we get to see it as a concept in the video below.
I have to admit the Samsung Galaxy S4 concept looks great with that edge to edge display, its subtle curves and design lines and a discreet Home button. The Galaxy S4 is very thin, even thinner than the iPhone 5, and it seems that it’s packing a 13 megapixel camera, a quad-core processor clocked at 2 GHz, and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
The display is an AMOLED unit with a diagonal of 5 inches and 1080p resolution. Since it packs an edge-to-edge display, it should be as big as its successor, the Samsung Galaxy S3.
It seems that is an “obsession” among the smartphone and accessories designers: the laser keyboards (if you remember there was such a keyboard placed on an iPhone 5 concept, last year). The guy that designed the Samsung Galaxy S4 concept didn’t integrate the laser keyboard in the device, but placed inside a dock station.
Summing up, I would give this concept a 10 out of 10, but, probably, the real Samsung Galaxy S4 will not look that good.
