Samsung Galaxy S4 is now available at Amazon for $149 on Sprint and $168 on AT&T
Samsung Galaxy S4 is the latest and greatest smartphone around, but it’s not yet available for sale on all carriers, unfortunately. But now the device is due to start shipping from Amazon in 2-4 weeks if you get it without a contract or choose to go with AT&T or Sprint.
Unfortunately the device is not yet available on Verizon or any other networks in the US, but we’ll definitely be able to find it everywhere pretty soon.
The US version of the Galaxy S4 comes with a 5-inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display, 1.9 Ghz quad-core processor and a 13 MP primary camera. The front camera has 2MP and can record 720p videos, while it also sports 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, expandable by up to 64GB through the microSD card slot. It comes with a 2,600 mAh battery, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and TouchWiz, 4G connectivity, WiFi b/g/n/ac.
The Galaxy S4 competes with the HTC One, which has similar features, while it lacks the plenitude of software features, like the Smart Pause, Smart Scroll, Air View, Air Gesture and so on. On the other side, the HTC One looks a bit better, in our opinion, so it depends what you prefer.
Hopefully the carriers will decide to offer the device for a lower price without a contract, because a two-year commitment is not what every user wants. Right now, if you want to stick with AT&T or Sprint, it’s the right time to order it. But if you’re a Verizon user, you might have to wait a bit longer until it becomes available on the network or buy an unlocked one.
