Samsung Galaxy S4 Release Date Confirmed for March 14th
The Samsung Galaxy S4 release date has just been confirmed by the company’s vice president, JK Shin. Just like the rumors were indicating the next-generation flagship smartphone of the South Korea-based company will be officially introduced during a Samsung Unpacked event held in New York on March 14th.
With the MWC 2013 conference currently deploying in Spain, the South Korea-based company held a press conference where Galaxy Note 8 was announced, and only a couple of established publications were invited at Barcelona-based Samsung event.
The vice-president of Samsung Mobile also said that Samsung Galaxy S4 will be March 14th, confirming Eldar Murtazin’s report, the Russian famous blogger who accurately predicted the date of the Samsung Unpacked event.
Everybody is expecting the Samsung Galaxy S4 to become one of the best selling smartphones in the world, and sources say that the South Korea-based company is aiming to sell 100 million Galaxy S4 units this year. Of course, the Samsung flagship will have to fight against some interesting competitors like Sony Xperia Z, HTC One, and Apple’s next-gen iPhone 5S.
With the rumors indicating that Apple will launch the next-gen iPhone sometime in June, Samsung Galaxy S4 release date being set in March is fully justified, as the South Korea-based company will want its smartphone on the market soon enough to be able to hurt iPhone’s market share.
If it is to believe the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will hit the market a fortnight after the official announcement.
Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy S4 will come with a full HD 4.99-inch display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and a 13 megapixel camera.
It’s not sure, yet what will be the processing solution underpinning the Galaxy S4. Even though we’re expecting the freshly-announced Exynos 5 Octa processor to make it under the hood of the Galaxy S4, sources say that the new chipset has overheating issues and Samsung will replace it with an Snapdragon 600 solution.
There are some question marks around the Super AMOLED technology, too, and reports say that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will come with a 4.99-inch SoLux with 1080p.
