When Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 3 back in September, the company’s representatives said that the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 will be rolled out in October. We are glad to announce you that the Korean company has kept its promise and after the international variants of its flagship received the Android 4.3 update, now it’s time for the Korean Galaxy S4 to receive the same treatment.
As usual, Samsung didn’t released an official change log for the Galaxy S4SHV-E300K update to Android 4.3, but the folks at SamMobile have tested the new firmware and posted their own change log. According to them, the Android 4.3 update will improve the speed of your device and which is also reflected by the benchmark scores. While running Android 4.2.2 the device scored 25-26K, but with Android 4.3 the score raised to 29-30K.
Besides improved overall speed, the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 SVH-E300K also brings TRIM and ANT+ support, plus Samsung’s new KNOX bootloader. You will also notice that the Samsung Walled now comes pre-loaded, along with a new Samsung keyboard and Samsung browser.
Besides the usual Android 4.3 changes like support for OpenGL ES 3.0 and Bluetooth Low Energy, the new firmware update for Galaxy S4 SVH-E300K will also bring improvements for RAM management, screen color reproduction, less laggy TouchWiz Launcer, and other minor interface enhancements for the Contacts app, Flashlight Widget, or dialog boxes. The camera firmware was also improved and a new Reading Mode was introduced.
