class="MsoNormal">Who said that Samsung could not make good QWERTY smartphones? Well, here we are to present the latest news from Verizon who is going to launch the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere 2 for $129.99 with a $50 email rebate and a new 2-year contract, according to our source. Even if we don’t know the exact date when Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere 2 is going to be available, we know that this mid-ranged QWERTY smartphone will be available in the coming weeks. For those of you who are not familiarized with this kind of Samsung QWERTY smartphones, you should know that its predecessor was Samsung Stratosphere, a slider QWERTY smartphone released on 10 October 2011.
It featured a 4 inches super AMOLED display, with 512 MN RAM memory, 4 GB OF internal memory and it was powered by Android 2.3 OS. It was a full QWERTY slider smartphone which had reasonable selling numbers, but could never be compared to top-ranked Samsung smartphones, and that’s what happens with Galaxy Stratosphere 2 as well.
All we know for now is that Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere 2 has the same 4-inch super AMOLED screen and it’s powered by a bigger processor of 1.2 GHz dual core ( the first generation had only a 1 GHz single core processor). As some other important features, you should know that Galaxy Stratosphere 2 has also 4G LTE and is powered by world’s famous Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with TouchWiz UI.
To be honest, this is not a smartphone I would spend my money on, mostly because at that price and with 2 years of extra contract, I could easily get a much more powerful smartphone which can provide a better experience, but in the end it’s up to each individual to choose a smartphone which fits its demands.
