Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Frame

Samsung announced to new models, Galaxy Frame and Galaxy Young, addressed to the youths, providing the basic features of a reasonable-priced smartphone.

Samsung has confirmed the rumors regarding the upgraded variant of Galaxy Young, revealing all the details about the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Young has a 3.27-inch HVGA TFT display, while being underpinned by a single-core 1 GHz processor and packing 768 MB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with 4 GB of internal storage, with microSD card support of up to 64 GB, rear-facing 3 megapixel camera, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11n, compass, proximity sensor and accelerometer.

Galaxy Young comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the Samsung TouchWiz user interface with the Smart Alert, Shake to update and Turn over to mute features.

The smartphone measures 58,6 x 109,4 x 12,5 mm, weighs in 112  grams, has a 1,300 mAh battery and will be available in white, deep blue, wine red, and metallic silver body liveries.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Fram integrates the same single-core 1 GHz processor, but only 512 MB of RAM. The HVGA TFT display is slightly bigger than the one of Galaxy Young, measuring 3.5 inches diagonally.

The smartphone features a 5 megapixel camera on the back, with autofocus and LED flash, and a user-facing VGA camera. The technical specifications list includes 4 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot (up to 64 GB supported), A-GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11n, NFC (optional), accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass.

Galaxy Frame runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box as well, with TouchWiz UI and even more Samsung apps and services (ChatOn, Game Hub, S Cloud). The terminal is 113.2 mm tall, 61.6 mm wide and 11.6 mm thin, weighs in 120.6 grams and is powered by a 1,300 mAh battery. It will be available both in Pearl White and Metallic Blue body colors.

For the time being, Samsung didn’t announce when Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fram will be available on the market, nor the prices of the two models. Still, the South Korea-based company mentioned that certain markets will receive Dual SIM variants of the new smartphones.
