Samsung GT-B9150 with Full HD Display and Exynos 5 Dual CPU Reportedly Coming at MWC

GT-B9150 benchmarks

GT-B9150 might become the next high-end Samsung gadget, as the rumor mill is pointing that it will boast a full HD display and a powerful processor. As we are getting closer to Mobile World Congress 2013, new details about the new terminals that will be unveiled at the tech event scheduled to debut in late February.

The first rumors about GT-B9150 appeared in October 2012, hinting towards a full QWERTY smartphone with Android 4.1.1 and 1,280 x 672 display.

New details about the GT-B9150 revealed by GLBnechmark logs are indicating that the device might actually be a new tablet or touchscreen smartphone.

It seems that GT-B9150 will be powered by Samsung’s proprietary Exynos 5250 chipset, with two Cortex A15 cores at 1.7 GHz, quad-core Mali T604 GPU and a full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) display.

The Exynos 5 Dual (5250) processor is the same unit that underpins the Google Nexus 10 and Samsung Chromebook terminals. According to the latest rumors the new Exynos 5 Octa SoC will be fitted on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

As several other full HD smartphones were launched earlier this year, like the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, and other models like Nexus 5 and HTC M7 are expected to drop soon, the South Korea-based company is bound to fight back with a super-smartphone.

The GT-B9150 is definitely not the highly-anticipated Galaxy S4, as all the Galaxy S devices were codenamed GT-I9xxx.

For the time being there are no leaked pictures of the Samsung GT-B9150, but we already know that has the latest Android version on board, namely Jelly Bean 4.2.1.

Other rumors are indicating that GT-B9150 might be Samsung’s first flexible terminal, and the South Korean company confirmed that it’s preparing such models for 2013.

Maybe it’s the Samsung Galaxy Q terminal that was the subject of the rumors lately. It would be great to see a Samsung flexible smartphone with full HD display and Exynos 5 Dual processor.

We will definitely find out more details about the new Samsung smartphones and tablets at Mobile World Congress 2013, which will be held next month in Barcelona.
