Samsung HomeSync Media Player Coming In Stores On October 6th For $299

Samsung Galaxy HomeSync is going to be available to buy this saturday for $299, ten months after its unveiling. Now I don’t know how many of you waited this day, but the waiting is now over and you can tune up your HDTV with this classy box. Tis is not the first media device available, but since many of you are Samsung fans this adddition could make your gadget collection complete, considering the fact that Galaxy Note 3 has already started to be sold trough AT&T and Sprint.

Samsung HomeSync is a media streaming device who can be connected to your standard HDTV and transforms it into a smart device. The multimedia box is powered by Android Jelly Bean and is able to work with almost all Google Play Apps while using your Galaxy smartphone or tablet as a remote controller. It has an impressive internal storage of almost 1 TB, which you can fill with multimedia files and apps. The HomeSync is able to synchronize with your Galaxy device and share the stored content via a live stream, without taking any space for playback videos on your Galaxy’s storage space. The broadband connection is working on both ways allowing you to either receive files from the HomeSync to the Galaxy device or vice versa, acting also as a back-up data saver.

Samsung HomeSync can work only with the following Galaxy devices: Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Note 10.1 ( the 2014 Edition ), Galaxy Camera or Any other Galaxy Device that use Samsung Link.

The storage space can offer both shared and private space for multiple devices linked to it, creating an easy way to transfer files, apps and any other media made available. In the same time it offers a secure acces to your files, no matter where you are.

The intuitive function allows you to control your content on TV trough your Galaxy device, allowing you to use the Galaxy device as a remote mouse or keyboard and also to mirror the HomeSync screen on your Galaxy device

Samsung HomeSync is offering two main categories to access:

  • Media Services: Media/Video Hub; Samsung Apps; YouTube; Google Play
  • Content Play: Gallery; Music Player; Video Player; Web Browsing.

The connection between HomeSync and HDTV is made through the HDMI port, and thanks to the powerful processor it can offer acces to any content you would like to play on your “new” Smart TV.
