The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro, which was announced in January this year, could soon be available in the Indian market. Like the other Galaxy C-series smartphones, the Galaxy C7 Pro too launched in China first. In the coming weeks however, the Galaxy C7 Pro is expected to be available for purchase in Hong Kong as well as India. A new variant of the Galaxy C7 Pro, carrying the model number SM-C701F has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. A support page for the same model number has been found on the Samsung India website, confirming that the smartphone is indeed headed to India.
Unfortunately, we still have no idea as to when the smartphone will be released in the Indian market, so we have no other option but to wait and watch. Samsung will most likely silently add the Galaxy C7 Pro to its Indian website, so we don’t expect a dedicated launch event to be held for the smartphone’s launch in India. The Galaxy C7 Pro’s “bigger sibling”, the Galaxy C9 Pro went on sale in the Indian market only recently.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro features a 5.7-inch display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution and a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 14nm octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz, with the Adreno 506 GPU. The octa-core chipset is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, which can be expanded further by up to 256GB thanks to a hybrid Dual SIM slot. The primary camera as well as secondary camera on the Galaxy C7 Pro offer 16MP resolution and are paired with an f/1.9 aperture lens. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, FM radio, and 4G LTE. Inside the smartphone’s metal body lies a 3300mAh capacity battery, with support for fast charging. On the software front, Samsung’s Galaxy C7 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with the company’s TouchWiz UX on top. Color options include Gold, Pink Gold, and Dark Blue.
