Samsung to Launch Galaxy S4 Gold Edition in Response to Champagne Gold iPhone 5S
The Galaxy S4 is Samsung’s rival against the iPhone 5S and after Apple introduced its new flagship and sold over 9 million iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C together, the Koreans are ready to counter with a new color for the GS4.
We are actually talking about two new color versions: Gold Pink and Gold Brown, according to Samsung’s announcement made on United Arab Emirate social media channels. The handsets will not be sold globally, as they will most likely be available only in the Arabic peninsula.
After it was reported that the golden iPhone 5S is selling like hot cakes, Samsung joins the golden smartphones trend, and we should also expect to see a gold HTC One soon, because HTC wants to be in the leading pack, too.
Of course, there will be no difference between the Gold Pink and Gold Brown Galaxy S4 and the other variants when it comes to technical specifications. As you probably know the Samsung flagship boasts about a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass protection, while being underpinned by either a Snapdragon 800 SoC or Exynos 5 Octa chipset.
Galaxy S4 also comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage, a feature-packed 13 MP camera on the back, and all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone like all standards of WiFi, NFC, 4G LTE, infra red port, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and microUSB 2.0.
