While the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is already available in Japan, and we’ve seen that it’s preparing to launch in the US as it was spotted while passing through the FCC tests, the device is yet to be released in Europe. However, it seems that the people living in the UK know when they will be able to buy the Xperia Tablet Z as retailer Clove has already listed it as available for pre-order.

According to the retailer’s official blog, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be will start shipping as of May 20. I know that sound too far away, but at least the customers will stop wondering how much they have to wait until the tablet gets released. The retailer has even listed the price, so the version of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z with LTE capabilities is sold at £499.20, including VAT.

In case you want to upgrade your tablet, Sony’s slate would be a good choice as it comes with some of the best pieces of hardware and a great display. So, if you don’t know its specs you should know that it comes with a 10.1-inch display with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1200. The Xperia Tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz. It also includes 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of on-board storage space, which can be further expanded via microSD card.

It also comes with an impressive 6000 mAh battery, an 8 MP primary camera situated in the back, and a 2 MP front-facing shooter. You should also know that the Sony Xperia Z will come running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

One other feature that needs to be mentioned is the one included by the Xperia Z, as well. To be more exact, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is highly resistant to water and dust, which means that the tablet will remain intact even in the hands of the most sloppy users.

As soon as we find out when the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be released in other regions, we will tell you all about it.

Yeah, it’s true, it’s such a pity that May is so far away. I probably should have waited and got the one from Clove, it probably would have saved me a wholle bunch of money! But I was so impatient for this, that I actually spent a fortune getting an English version shipped from Japan. (Wouldn’t reccomend doing that though, as trust me, it cost me an arm and a leg!) Besides the cost, stil no regrets about purcahsing the Tablet though! I live in the UK and I travel alot for my business, so having a Tablet that has near PC functionality with fast WiFi speeds that I can easily carry with me is absolutely essential to me. I have to say though, I found the SONY XPERIA Z Tabletto be absolutely PERFECT for this! It has been an absolute GODSEND!! Has been an absolute essential piece of take everywhere kit for me, and so much more convenient than my old laptop!

In fact, my only initial gripe is that with tablets in general, you have to be much more careful about protecting the screen. But thankfully I managed to get around this pretty well by finding a decent case for it that has a strong lightweight lid, which totally solved the problem! Was pretty darn cheap too (I think it cost me less than 10 bucks on Amazon). So now my Tablet has a folding protective lid just like my laptop, only one hell of alot lighter and easy to bring with me. Just by putting a really cheap and inexpensive case on it!

One thing I really love about this case even more is that the one I found came built in with a magnetic sleep sensor, which automatically turns the tablet on and off INSTANTLY (no seconds to wait like on my old Laptop). Only one model I have found so far that does this feature though, which I think they called it something redicuolously corny, like the “G-Hub” case (stands for gadget hub, apparently! -but personally, I think they’re just trying to be wannabe godfathers!) lol. but all joking aside though, it truly was BRILLIANT! If anyone was curious, here’s the link to the one that worked its magic for me… http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CFUYEGE/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers
Totally made my XPERIA Z Tablet hands down the best darned portable computer I have ever owned!
