Sony Xperia VL Release Date, Price and Specs Announced

The Japan customers will soon be able to receive a new Android based smartphone, as Sony just announced the Xperia VL release date, price and specs list. For those who don’t know, this will be a high end device, with decent to impressive performances, more aspects being available during the next few lines.

Now, the Xperia VL will be released only for the Japanese customers, similar versions of the phone being offered for other markets too. So, the Xperia VL is actually the same smartphone with the Xperia V, which also is the same device with the Xperia AX (available at NTT Docomo). As you can see we have the same smartphone, but on different names depending on the market it is available.

Anyway, the Sony Xperia VL specs are including a large 4.3 inch HD Reality display, with 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM memory, 16 GB of internal storage memory, a 13 MP rear facing camera along with a 1.3 MP front facing one and a 1700 mAh battery. The display is dust and water resistance, you will get Sony’s media apps like WALKMAN® application, Album application and Movies application, the usual WiFI, DLNA, 4G LTE, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.

Unfortunately, the Xperia VL will feature the Ice Cream Sandwich OS and not the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean one. According to Sony an OTA update will soon be available so I’m guessing that everything will be fine. The handset will be launched in four colors: pink, white, black and blue depending on your preferences.

If you like it, then you will be able to buy the Xperia VL for around 30000 yen (that’s almost $385), according to our sources, the release date being November 2nd. So, that was all for now; feel free and share your impressions about this handset with us and with other users by using the comments area from below.
