SFR, a French carrier that used to be part of the empire if Vodafone which had a substantial stake in the company, has made the Sony Xperia Z available for pre-order. The Xperia Z is one of the highly expected Android device this time of the year.
The smartphone has a 4G LTE model which will be sold by SFR in three different colors meaning black, white and violet. The carrier offers two prices for the Xperia Z. The original price will be €230, but if you choose to buy it with a two-year contract of €80 per month, you will get it in exchange of only €30.
The price of the handset will be increased if you opt for a cheaper monthly tariff, but at the end of the contract you will realize that you will save money. SFR also offers the Xperia Z for €449.90 with €19.99 monthly tariff, or €179.90 after €100 mail-in rebate with a €39.99 monthly contract. Both offers are available with a two-year plan.
Even though the SFR version of the Xperia Z has is 4G LTE capable, you will be able to use it only in certain areas of France as the SFR network is kind of limited. In case you decide to buy the handset, you will have to wait it after you make the pre-order, as it will take a couple of weeks to reach its destination. The carrier says that the shipments will begin on February 25.
The Sony Xperia Z was announced this month and it will sport a 5-inch display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920. It will have 16 GB of internal storage that can by expanded with up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. The devices also comes with 2GB of RAM, a Qualcomm ship with a wuad-core 1.5GHz Krait CPU and Adreno 320 GPU, and a 13.2 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash capable of recording full HD video.
