Sony Xperia Z was officially announced a week ago at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, currently being the most powerful smartphone of the Japan-based company. Now the Sony Xperia Z price was listed at Amazon Germany.
Sony Xperia Z packs a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution, an impressive 13 megapixel camera that was already demoed by a German website, and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz. Well the smartphone is was now officially listed at Amazon Germany, currently being available for pre-order.
Sony Xperia Z has a price tag of €649 and it will bring you a smartphone that has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, support for 4G LTE networks and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The flagship smartphone is dust and water proof and is manufactured following the same design lines introduced by its Xperia predecessors.
To be hones I was was expecting a prohibitive price for Sony Xperia Z, but considering its technical specifications, I guess it’s worth paying that much for it. On the other hand, after taking a look at the processors unveiled by Samsung, Qualcomm and Nvidia at CES 2013, units that will debut on the high-end smartphones later this year, the Sony Xperia Z wouldn’t be the wisest choice at this moment.
Now all we can do is wait to see whether the price of the Sony Xperia Z will be cut off as soon as the smartphone hits several other retailers. We are also waiting for the price of Xperia Z’ little brother, the Xperia ZL, to be unveiled and I am curious to see the price of the flagship smartphone on the North American market.
