Sony Xperia ZL got its first CM 10.1 Nightly build released today
CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies are now officially available for the Sony Xperia ZL. It is the first build designed by the CM team and it is the latest device that joins the multitude of devices that are already sporting CM 10.1 Nightly builds. This build is based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it works with rooted Sony Xperia ZL devices.
CM 1o.1 Nightlies is an experimental release and it cannot be considered a ‘stable’ build, which is why it should be used only by advanced users. It requires a rooted device and a custom Recovery installed. Without these requirements you cannot install the custom ROM. Such custom operating systems are usually featuring the latest Android features and functions.
Installing this new custom ROM you will get all the CyanogenMod features and one of the best AOSP-based Anroid 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS for your Sony Xperia ZL. This OS has been created and released by the CyanogenMod team, which is one of the most popular teams currently working on releasing some of the best Android 4.2 Jelly Bean builds.
After the installation of the custom OS is completed via custom Recovery mode, you will need to flash the latest Gapps file from here. In order to download the latest CM 10.1 Nightly build for Sony Xperia ZL then you should use this get.cm link here. Installing such custom ROM is easy but, remember that you are using such files at your own risk. If you aren’t a fan of such tutorials or you think that you cannot complete the install then you shouldn’t install them.
Such Nightly builds of CM 10.1 Jelly Bean 4.2.2 will now be released on a daily basis. You can install a brand new version every time one is available. You simply have to use the CyanogenMod Updates menu by opening it from Settings. If you’re familiar with the CM team’s work and you own a Sony Xperia ZL then you should try to tinker with this new ROM.
