It seems like the HTC One M8 T-Mobile devices are currently receiving the official upgrade to Android 4.4.3 KitKat. Check your phone’s notification panel starting today and become one of the first users to install it on your device.
This update will most probably be the last one to bear the KitKat name as HTC will most probably decide to jump straight to Android L (5.0?) after Google presents it next month. Also, HTC and T-Mobile have included all the Android 4.4.4 changes in this Android 4.4.3 KitKat build, so you will need to download a file that measures somewhere around 580 MB in size. Make sure that you will use a Wi-Fi connection in order to download the new OTA Update file on your device.
Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update for HTC One M8 at T-Mobile has the software version set to 2.22.531.5. After you upgrade your phone you will get the following changes added: OpenSSL security fixes, performance tweaks, better battery life, improvements for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Mobile Network. Other tweaks have been added for the Gallery App, Power Usage History menu in Settings has been added, HTC Sync Manager improvements.
Besides all the Android and application updates your T-Mobile HTC One M8 device will also get some tweaks for the HTC Sense environment. So, you will get tweaks for HTC BoomSound, Extreme Power Saving Mode, Quick Settings and Motion Launch. These are all great new improvements and you should confirm the installation right after the OTA Update notification arrives for your device.
The Android 4.4.3 Update is being rolled out in phases by T-Mobile for all HTC One M8 users who are running stock Android. Don’t worry if the new update files aren’t sent your way today, as these should be available for download by the end of this week.
In case you’ve got the update, then you should tell us in comments so that others will have confirmation. Make sure to specify your location, too.
