Nexus 5 Now Available at T-Mobile for $449.99
The Nexus 5 was officially announced on October 31st and made available for purchase on the same day through Google Play Store. This time the Play Store severs didn’t crash like it happened last year with the Nexus 4 and even the stocks lasted longer than last year.
Unfortunately, the Black 16 GB Nexus 5 variant went out of stock a few days ago, while the shipping times for the other models currently vary from 2 weeks to 6 weeks.
The good news is that the Nexus 5 is now available at T-Mobile and that it can be yours right away. The bad news is that the T-Mobile Black Nexus 5 with 16 GB storage costs $449.99, $100 more than on Google Play. Is worth to pay an extra $100? That’s entirely your decision.
You can also get the Nexus 5 from T-Mobile if you agree to pay $41.99 up front then split the payment in 24 monthly fees of $17.
As a refresher, the Nexus 5 comes with a full HD 5-inch True HD IPS+ display with 1080 x 1920 resolution and 445 ppi pixel density, while being underpinned by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset based on four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.26 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU. The Nexus 5 technical specs list also includes 2 GB RAM, 16/32 GB native storage (microSD cards not supported), and an 8 MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, optical image stabilization, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, photo sphere, and 1080p@30fps video capture. The front-facing camera has a 1.3 MP sensor and is also capable of shooting full HD videos.
The connectivity features of the Nexus 5 are worthy of a modern smartphone: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, LTE, and microUSB (SlimPort) v2.0. A non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery is keeping the lights turned on.
The Nexus 5 is the first smartphone in the world to come pre-loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat and the new Google Experience Launcher.
Do you plan on purchasing the Nexus 5 from T-Mobile or did you already got yours from Google Play?
