If you are among the Americans drooling to get your hands on the latest Sony flagship smartphone you might be glad to hear that the Xperia Z1 will be coming to T-Mobile. Well, at least that’s what the infamous leaker @evleaks claims in his latest tweet, but since he rarely misses we are quite tempted to believe that the T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z1 is right around the corner.
In fact @evleaks doesn’t mention when the Xperia Z1 will hit T-Mobile’s stores. All he did was to allow as to see how Sony’s flagship will look with T-Mobile’s logo on the back. Even though the Xperia Z1 was officially introduced in September at IFA Berlin, there’s no word yet about its debut on the North American market. Actually, T-Mobile was also the only carrier in the US to have Z1’s predecessor, the Xperia Z, in its portfolio. Moreover, the Xperia Z debuted at T-Mobile 6 months after its launch event.
Let’s hope that @evleaks’ latest leak is more than just a photo and that Xperia Z1 will hit the US faster than its predecessor.
In case you missed the IFA Berlin 2013 news, I remind you that the Sony Xperia Z1 features a 5-inch 1080p Triluminos display, Snapdragon 800 chipset with quad-core Krait 400 CPU and quad-core Krait 400 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU, and 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage weighs 16 GB, but you can expand it using microSD cards.
Sony Xperia Z1 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and has all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone including WiFi, LTE, NFC, infra red, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0.
Just like all the high-end smartphones launched by Sony over the past year, the Xperia Z1 is water and dust resistant. Anyway, one of its main selling points will definitely be 20.7 MP camera with G Lens, 1/2.3” sensor size, image stabilization, and 1080p@30fps video recording support.
