As of today the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is available for the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, and its users should be very happy because Asus is a company that doesn’t let them waiting too much for a software upgrade like other manufacturers do.

This is not just a rumor because Asus announced that the Transformer Pad Infinity will receive the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update on its official Facebook page. Not long ago, in October 2012 to be exact, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity received the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update and the company has been busy upgrading some of its other devices as well like the Padfone handsets.

Even though not all of the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity users have received the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update yet, but it will arrive pretty soon. Of course, the owners of the other Asus branded devices have complained on the Facebook page that the company has neglected them, but Asus is taking the upgrade business pretty serious and certainly will release updates for most of its products.

After you install the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update on your Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, you will get several new features including support for multiple users, the DayDream feature, actionable notifications, revamped Google Search functions and improved performance.

When the device was released back in July 2012 it was running Android 4.9 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity spots a 10-inch Super IPS+ LCD display with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1200, which is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The handset is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 T33 quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a ULP GeForce GPU. It also includes 1 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP rear-facing shooter with autofocus, LED Flash capable of recording full HD video and a front-facing 2 MP shooter.

In case you have already received the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update, let us know.
