The Korean company is making sustained efforts to update its most popular smartphones to Android 4.3. Even though the Android 4.3 update for both the AT&T and US Cellular variants of the Galaxy S4 was put on hold over unknown reasons and the international Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update was also suspended, Samsung has successfully updated most of the Galaxy Note 2 variants to the latest Jelly Bean build.
If you happen to own a Samsung Galaxy S3 from AT&T, we are glad to announce you that the US carrier is now delivering the Android 4.3 OTA update for the said terminal. AT&T’s 4.3 roll out for Galaxy S3 comes just a day after T-Mobile did the same with their S3 variant. The software update pushed by AT&T to the Galaxy S3 owners changes the build number to I747UCUEMJB.
As I was mentioning above the international Galaxy S3 had a lot of issues after it was updated to Android 4.3, therefore the Korean phone maker decided to roll back the update. Hopefully, this is an Exynos-related issue.
Like usual, the update will be rolled out in stages, so not all AT&T users will be able to perform it today. If you didn’t receive the system update notification yet, it means that you will have to wait a few more days. Of course, you can also check for the update manually in Settings > About phone > System update > Check for updates. You can also check for it by plugging your S3 to the PC then launch KIES.
The new software update brings Samsung KNOX, Galaxy Gear, S4-like user interface and features, camera improvements, redesigned Samsung apps, Daydream, actionable notifications, Quick Settings in notification area with customizable toggles, and many other goodies.
The Android 4.3 I747UCUEMJB OTA update for AT&T Galaxy S3 weighs 623 MB, so it’s recommended to use a WiFi hotspot to download it.
Did you get the update on your smartphone today? Please let us know in comments.
