Even though the T-Mobile HTC One S is a high-end smartphone, its owners have not received the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean yet. That’s right the users of the HTC One S is have been stuck with Android Ice Cream sandwich all this time. We don’t know the reason why the software update has not been rolled out until now, but the HTC One S should be happy to hear that their suffering time has ended because the update is available as of today.
The new software will bring your smartphone to build 3.14.531.11, and it is about 675 MB is size. In other words, you better find a good Wi-Fi connection if you don’t want to wait all day until the file is downloaded. Also, you have to charge the battery of your phone before beginning the update process.
Actually, there is no use to check for the update unless you are connected to Wi-Fi as the update process won’t start without it. The manufacturer says that the entire process might time more than 20 minutes, so you better arm yourself with patience.
After you are on Wi-Fi you can head to menu and check for updates, and you’ll know what to do from there. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will come along with the already popular new features like Google Now, Project Butter, enhanced notification system and several other tweaks.
