It is a very nice ROM, much smoother than 2.3.

I’ve only noticed a couple of problems, one where if you plug the headset in and you have music in your music folder, it’ll start playing it after a while (although you can turn it off again with the headset button) and sometimes there is significant slowdown. I assume when there are too many apps running at once. It is only 512MB of RAM though. Battery usage isn’t phenomenal, but grabbing a couple of 3500mAh batteries on eBay makes that less of a problem.

Although I’m tempted by more modern phones, the simple fact is that, to replace my phone would cost about $500. With ICS there’s no particular rush to change.

If I get really adventurous I can re-root it and play around with custom ROMs again. But since ICS 2X allows me to read books, play Game Boy advance games via emulator, surf the internet, text, and make phone calls, I don’t really need to.
