Every thing is working fine except the modem. I can’t connect to 3G/2G internet with the same settings that I had earlier.

Keep getting Error in Base.3.8.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted….

Re downloaded the files and re applied them to root sd but still get same error :/

Laxy s i9000 Thank Alex I m on cm9 pics working fine…….but its does not have Google apps installed …..so can u please give me the link I downloaded form other sources but play store is getting closed on opening. I m on cm9- pics on Samsung galaxy s i9000

You cannot. You need to root your device first.

Here’s a guide to root it: http://www.android.gs/root-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-android-2-3-6-gingerbread-xxjvu-firmware-with-cf-root/

After you’re rooted, you can use the above guide.
