HTC’s team based in US is putting up a lot of efforts to provide the latest firmware updates to the HTC One flagship. After some of the US carriers already updated their HTC One units to Android 4.3, it is now T-Mobile’s turn to do the same. Well, at least that’s what HTC Americas president Jason Mackenzie is claiming.
As usual, Jason Mackenzie used Twitterto make the announcement, so we’ve heard that HTC and T-Mobile will keep their promise and roll out the Android 4.3 update for HTC One by the end of the month. To be more precisely, the T-Mobile HTC One owners will be able to download and install the latest firmware on their devices starting this Monday, October 21st.
On October 15 the HTC Americas president tweeted that “we received certification today on 4.3” and that the update should be rolled out in the next few days. It looks like something happened in the meantime and now the update has been pushed back until October 21st.
For the time being Sprint, AT&T, and C Spire are the only carriers in the US to update their HTC One variants to Android 4.3. T-Mobile is next in line and, as usual, Verizon is a bit late to the OTA party.
In case you forgot, I remind you that the HTC One sports an impressive 4.7-inch full HD Super LCD3 display, a Snapdragon 600 chipset with quad-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and a 4 MP UltraPixel camera with support for 1080p@30fps video recording.
The HTC One also comes with all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone, including LTE, WiFi, NFC, IR blaster, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0.
