Update Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX CDMA to Official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

How to update Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx CDMA to Official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean:

  1. Download the Official Android 4.1.2 ROM zip from HERE. Save this file on your PC desktop.
  2. Rooted users need to download the OTA RootKeeper application from HERE. Install it on your smartphone. If your device is not rooted, then you can skip steps 2 and 3.
  3. Launch the OTA RootKeeper application on your device. Backup the Root Status by using the ‘Protect Root’ option. When you’re done you should click on Temp Unroot option and now remove root before getting to the next step. When done, you can continue to the next step.
  4. Connect your smartphone to your PC now and then move the Android 4.1.2 Verizon Update file on its external SD card.
  5. When the transfer is complete you need to disconnect the device from PC and after that you have to power off the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx.
  6. Boot your device by pressing at the same time ‘volume up’, ‘volume down’ and ‘power’ buttons. Select Recovery option and then press again ‘Volume up’.
