Verizon Wireless keeps on surprising everyone as another Jelly Bean 4.1 OTA update has been released for one of their devices, the Samsung Galaxy Stellar smartphone. Start checking the System Updates menu of your device to see if the Android 4.1 OTA Update has been delivered to your device.
The new update has the JZO54K firmware version and it will bring the first build of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for the Verizon Galaxy Stellar. It measures around 403MB and it will bring numerous new features and functions since this update is major overhaul over the previous Ice Cream Sandwich firmware versions. You will get the brand new Google Now, expandable notifications and the latest Project Butter UI that will make your device work smoother without lagging between menus and screens.
With the new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean JZO54K firmware you will also get support for 64GB SDcards which should be an extra reason for you to keep using the Verizon Galaxy Stellar device despite the fact that OEMs are constantly releasing new Android smartphones. Also, after the update you will notice that the Verizon App Store has been removed completely.
Watch out for the OTA Update notification and make sure to update your device when you receive it. If you didn’t get the notification then you should open Setting, then About Phone and check the info listed under System Updates. If the update isn’t available then you should wait until Verizon manages it to push it for your device.
In order to update first thing that you need to do is to download the files and then simply press Install and wait until your phone does all the work. Note that you won’t get the OTA update in case your Galaxy Stellar smartphone is rooted or it packs any type of customization components.
