It seems like the official OTA Update zip of Android 4.4.3 KTU84L is now live for the Verizon Nexus 7 LTE tablet.

Check your device’s notification for the update or use the file posted at the end of this guide to manually flash the update using ‘adb sideload’. This new update brings mostly fixes and tweaks for a better battery life as well as an improved camera app.

At the moment only the Verizon Nexus 7 LTE model appears to receive the new firmware upgrade, but all the other Nexus 7 LTE models should soon be getting it, too. Until then you should keep an eye on your tablet and notify us if you get it in the following days.

With Android 4.4.3 KTU84L installed on your tablet you will get tons of small changes that should offer you a much more stable operating system. Also, soon enough there will be a brand new firmware update in store, the Android 4.4.4 KTU84P. That latest update version has already been released for the Nexus 4, 5 and Nexus 7 Wi-Fi tablet.

If you don’t know how to flash the new Android 4.4.3 update zip file via ‘adb sideload’ using the Nexus 7 LTE Stock Recovery, then you might want to wait until the official KTU84L OTA Update notification to arrive for your device.

The official Android 4.4.3 KTU84L OTA update zip for the Verizon Nexus 7 LTE is available for download here.  Also, it would be best for you to change the file’s name to ‘update.zip’ after the download is complete.

For the manual update to work you will need to be running the stock Android 4.4.2 KVT49L firmware on your Nexus 7 LTE. USB Debugging should also be enabled in Developer Options.

Instructions for users who want to install it manually: get the file, save it on your computer, boot the tablet in Stock Recovery Mode and select ‘apply update from adb’ option. Connect the tablet to computer, open a command window where the new file is saved and then enter ‘adb sideload update.zip’ command line. Press Enter and wait for the installation to complete.

We will post a complete tutorial soon enough for users to learn how to manually flash Android 4.4.3 KTU84L for their Verizon Nexus 7 LTE tablet.

UPDATE: Check instructions here if you want to learn how to install the update yourself without waiting for the official OTA Update to arrive for your tablet.
